Oct 5 (UPI)– A 6.6-magnitude earthquake in the western Pacific Ocean Thursday early morning developed small tsunami waves that depleted on Japan’s coasts, authorities claimed.
The earthquake’s center was off the uninhabited island of Torishima, some 360 miles southern of Tokyo at a deepness of 10.5 miles at around 11 a.m. neighborhood time.

Waves of almost a foot were seen on at least one of the Izu islands adhering to the earthquake.
The Japan Meteorological Agency released a tsunami consultatory, originally anticipating a tsunami wave as much as 3 feet for the islands situated southern of Tokyo.
