SHIZUOKA CITY, Japan (Reuters) – In a still sustained by cedar from close-by woodlands, Shizuoka Distillery, a leader in Japan’s new age of independent whisky manufacturers, crafts its spirits to use rising international need.
This year notes the 100 year wedding anniversary of whisky production in Japan considering that the starting of market leader Suntory’s initial distillery in Yamazaki in 1923.
And at the century mark, there are currently greater than 100 accredited distilleries in the nation – two times as much as ten years ago – with every one contending to make its mark in a swiftly increasing market.
