Japanese patient support group head sentenced for organ transplants in Belarus

A Tokyo court has sentenced the head of a not-for-profit company to 8 months in jail for preparing organ transplant procedures overseas without federal government approval.

The Tokyo District Court passed on the judgment on Tuesday to Kikuchi Hiromichi, supervisor of a company that sustains individuals with severe illness.

Kikuchi was billed with presumably agenting organ transplant procedures in Belarus in 2015 without federal government approval for 2 individuals, in infraction of the organ transplant legislation. He had actually begged innocent.

Presiding Judge Baba Yoshiro stated federal government approval is required as long as component or every one of the arbitration procedure for the procedures is executed in Japan.
