MINNEAPOLIS–This weekend break the Children’s Theatre Company debuts a brand-new program with an actors and supervisor completely from a Hawaii theater.
“The Carp Who Would Not Quit and Other Animal Stories” showcases stories from dramatist Reiko Ho’s childhood, “based on the golden koi who swims up the waterfall and through his perseverance becomes a dragon.” The Japanese and Okinawan tales are a love letter to her youth.
