SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– Springfield’s 27th yearly Japanese Fall Festival starts Friday, September 8 at the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden at 5 p.m.
The festival, held by Springfield Sister Cities, Springfield-Greene County Park Board, Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden, and Springfield Botanical Gardens, will certainly include performers like returning faves:St Louis Osuwa Taiko, set drummers; Kizuna, Springfield’s Japan America relationship club; Tracy’s Kenpo Karate Studios of Southwest Missouri, fighting styles demonstrators; Springfield Cosplay, costume function play demonstrators; and KIRa KIRa Springfield, a cosplay dancing group.
Guests can take part in workshops for amezaiku, bonsai, kokedama, ikebana, kintsugi and fighting styles; delight in tasks such as the Nihon bunka taiken outdoor tents (Japanese society experience outdoor tents) where they can satisfy delegates from Springfield’s …
