
A trainee’s initial haute couture, which attracted ideas from a Japanese children’s tale of a princess that produces elaborate apparel next to the Milky Way river, has actually been selected to be on international display.
Created by Leah Aoki from the University of Hawai ʻi at Mānoa College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources‘ ( CTAHR) Fashion Design and Merchandising program, the garment was selected by the International Textile and Apparel Association ( ITAA) after undertaking a blind-review procedure with an approval price of 28% in the undergraduate classification. In enhancement to the garment, an extensive term paper was needed, which held most of the weight in ITAA‘s option procedure.
