But they are more.
These “gutter hymns” of the Irish abroad are events of challenging lives that are sprayed with wit, literary recommendations and basic reality informing.
Shane MacGowan as soon as stated: “I couldn’t believe that nobody else were doing it, so we went on doing it ourselves…”
