The very first version of the K-Wave Festival that occurred at Jayamahal Palace Grounds on Saturday invited over 2,200 K-pop followers from around the Garden City of India.
Anmol Kukreja, organiser of the program, shares, “K-pop is huge in India now which is why this festival was organised. This is also the 50-year-celebration of diplomatic relations between India and South Korea. Bengaluru as an audience in itself is great in terms of live music, so, this was the apt place to hold the festival. We wanted to do something for the younger audience, hence the K-Wave Festival.” Various food stalls existed at the celebration, offering genuine Korean food, from corn pet dogs to kimchi.
