South Korean singer-songwriter BIBI has stepped down from her planned K-drama debut in Season 2 of Netflix’s “Sweet Home.”
BIBI’s role in the webtoon-based adaptation was confirmed earlier this month. However, a scheduling conflict has forced her to back out of production.
“BIBI was confirmed to star in ‘Sweet Home 2’ and was preparing [for her role], but she canceled her appearance due to timing issues including the filming schedule. Currently, another actress has taken on the role and is filming,” a Netflix representative commented, per Soompi.
It is still unknown what BIBI’s exact role in the drama would have been. Back in June, the show was renewed for a second and third season with several cast members — including Song Kang, Go Min-si, Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young and Park Gyu-young — slated to return.
