A publication by a historian from the Naval History and Heritage Command remembers a strange episode from a long-ago war. In the terrific WWII fight for Okinawa, Japan turned to self-destruction goals called kamikaze. The publication’s title claims all of it, “On The Verge Of Breaking Down Completely, Surviving The Kamikaze Off Okinawa, 1945. To talk about the book, the Federal Drive with Tom Temin was joined in studio by author Guy Nasuti.
