TOKYO (AP)– Japanese transportation officials invaded a Toyota- associated plant Tuesday after the company admitted to cheating on engine testing, asToyota Motor Corp reported it offered over 11 million automobiles in 2023 to maintain its standing as the globe’s leading vehicle maker.
Hours after the probe started at Toyota Industries Corp.’s plant in Hekinan, Aichi Prefecture, main Japan, Toyota Chair Akio Toyoda swore to guide the company out of detraction and make sure the Japanese car manufacturer’s group business stay with “making good cars.”
