Hundreds collected in Skansie Park onSept 30 for Gig Harbor’s 3rd yearly Korean ChuSeok Festival, a cost-free and family members- pleasant occasion funded by the Asia Pacific Cultural Center.
Often described as the “Korean Thanksgiving”, ChuSeok (추석), or hangawi (한가위), is acknowledged as one of South Korea’s essential standard vacations. The greater than 2,000- year- old vacation is a time for family members to go back to their home towns, recognize their ancestors and commemorate theharvest ChuSeok suggests “autumn evening.”
