Slain Japanese academic remembered for her generosity

SAN FRANCISCO–The Japanese academic eliminated in a capturing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas university onDec 6 was remembered as a superior educator and charitable person.

Naoko Takemaru, 69, an associate teacher of Japanese, was just one of 3 UNLV professor slain by Anthony Polito, 67, that was ultimately fired to fatality by cops.

Takemaru was employed by UNLV in 2003 when the college started its Japanese language program. A coworker stated her courses were constantly complete and she frequently motivated her trainees to examine abroad in Japan.

Speaking at a press conference, Margaret Harp, an associate in the World Languages and Cultures division, stated: “Naoko was a triple threat artist. She was a professional concert pianist, she embroidered beautifully and every holiday season she brought us her homemade chocolates.”
