Alan Wake 2‘s designers took motivation from Capcom’s Resident Evil collection as it desired players to feel “more vulnerable” while playing the follow up.
In a meeting with Edge (Issue 388), Alan Wake 2 video game supervisor Kyle Rowley went over a few of the forthcoming video game’s creepy impacts, aiming to the current Resident Evil video games as an asset of referral when it comes to developing creepy electronic camera angles in the video game.
“Camera perspective and things like that, yes, there are good references from the recent Resident Evil games that we did look at,” Rowley claims. “But not just because, oh, you know, it worked for them,” the supervisor proceeds, “it’s more like, how does that help us build the kind of experience we want?
