Japanese supervisor Hirokazu Kore- eda’s brand-new movie, “Monster,” remains in competitors for the Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, which opens up May 16, coordinators stated Thursday.
Kore- eda formerly won the leading honor at the French celebration in 2018 with “Shoplifters“
“Monster” is the 7th movie to be sent by the supervisor for the honor, and the very first because his South Korean movie “Broker” in 2015, which won the very best star honor.
